After the cross over service on December 31st, 2015, I had a feeling in my heart that I wanted to so something bigger. I wanted to make changes and advance myself. I knew that I wanted to expand this ministry. I tried to think of ways I could do that but the ideas I came up with didn't really sit well with me. It didn't feel complete. So I prayed to God about it. Somewhere in February God placed a great idea on my heart while I was waiting for my morning class to begin. I wrote everything done. After that moment, I started getting confirmations from God through bible verses. I had all the idea down, I knew what I wanted the project to stand for, I just needed a name. As you guys can already tell by my blog name, I am not very creative with names haha. So God did not disappoint, the idea of the name came recently while I was listening to Pastor John Gray (check him out, he is so good!!!)
So here, I would like to introduce a project that God has pleased on my heart for a while now. 214 Faith Ave. The purpose of this project is to create an online community for young adults like myself and basically share God. I want us to be able to use this to share our talents, teach each other, pray for each other and support each other. I am basing this project on Ephesians 4:7 & 16 which says that "He has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ...As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love"
It truly warms my heart to see a lot of our generation seek God. I believe that it would be even great if we could help ourselves with the talents God has given us. I am thinking of starting this project on Facebook, where anybody can share their thoughts, post inspirational things, request a prayer, try and see if we can do a bible study. Fun stuff!
214 Faith Ave. sounds like an address doesn't it? The idea of the name is to make this feel like a community. Not to replace it with church or being before God but to act as another support system for this amazing walk.
Over the past 3-4 years, 214 just keeps popping up randomly. I would look at the clock at random times and I would see 214 or I would see a car plate number and it would either have those numbers, in the same order. At first I thought I was going crazy and so I looked it up on google. It said on some website that if you keep seeing certain number over and over again, it means that your angels are around you. Lol, I dont know if it is true, at least it didn't say anything crazy.
